In September 2009, the first environmental public interest litigation which unprecedentedly acknowledged an environmental-protection social organization as a plaintiff was settled under the guidance of Wuxi Intermediate People’s Court. In this case, Jiangsu Jinyi Law Firm was engaged by the plaintiff.

 

Under the supervision of Wuxi Intermediate People’s Court, the defendant, a cargo transport company in Jiangyin, has fulfilled its obligations according to the reconciliation agreement. The claims that the plaintiff, All-China Environmental Federation and the local victims, claimed have been all redeemed, the case is successfully completed.
