EMHL, controlled by one of our clients in Wuxi, successfully purchased 51% of shares of Cambodia Iron and Steel Mining Industry Group (“CISMIG”). CISMIG, an iron and steel mining industry company registered in Kingdom of Cambodia, owns the exploration rights in the area of about 2400 sq. k.m, which is located in Phreah Vihear Province of Kingdom of Cambodia. The purchaser will invest hundred millions of dollars to exploit the iron ore and to establish a steel factory upon the completion of such acquisition. It is also one of the largest foreign investment projects by Wuxi companies in 2007.

 

JINYI performed as the legal counsel of the purchaser in this transaction and provided comprehensive legal services, including due diligence, transaction structure design, negotiation and drafting agreements. JINYI also associated with an Australian law firm Allens Arthur Robinson with regard to due diligence in Cambodia.
