Under the circumstance that the Product-Specific Safeguard Measures taken by US government against Chinese tires are drawing more and more international attention and the trade conflicts between China and US are becoming more severe, Jinyi Law Firm, together with Greenberg Traurig Law Firm, hosted a legal forum entitled as “How to Cope with the Recent Changes of American Trade Policy and Avoid International Trade Risks” on 12th Sep. 2009 in Xizhou Garden Hotel. The forum was designed to clarify the trade situation between China and US and provide accessible legal services for both companies both in China and US. Government officials, representatives of export companies and lawyers. Approxiametely 150 people attended the forum.

 

At the first stage of the forum, Mr. Philippe Bruno, a partner of GT, made a presentation in respects of changes of US trade policy, US anti-dumping and anti-countervailing law and the new trade policy of the Obama administration while Mr. Zhuling acted as an interpreter. After that, Mr. Peter Neumann, a partner of GT’s Shanghai office, made a presentation, in fluent Chinese, regarding to how to run business in the US.Finally, the forum provided opportunities of one to one meetings for senior executives and the speakers.
