A Dutch company set up a joint venture in Wuxi with a Chinese company. The foreign party and the domestic party each takes 50% shares. After the establishment of the JV, the two parties were not able to reach a consensus on trade mark, workshop, official seal and so on. In march 2006, the foreign party filed arbitration in Hong Kong International Arbitration Center. A couple of lawsuits against the joint venture, which had been set up by the domestic investor, were also filed by third parties. The conflicts between the two parties escalated.
JINYI lawyers paved the way for communication between the two parties. On the basis of understanding cultural differences and accurate judgment of the psychological attitudes of the two parties, JINYI lawyers worked out various reconciliation plans and mediated between both parties. The parties negotiated in meetings held at JINYI and eventually reached an agreement on the reconciliation plan, bringing an end to the protracted four-year conflict.
